MUSIKA (Print)

"Musika" pays tribute to the beautiful sounds of Egyptian music.   According to archeologists, a great quantity of musical instruments were found in tombs.  Each girl is meant to represent a different melody playing in my soul. 

I was brought up in the Coptic Orthodox Church (Christian Egyptian), one of the oldest churches in existence.  The only instruments they use is the cymbals and the triangle.  The roots of the music is truly Pharaonic.  Those songs are stamped into my memory, and have left an indelible mark on my mind.
